We started working with Sandy in November 2023. We chose her to assist with our interior decoration because of her extensive experience in the field and familiarity with New Mexican art and aesthetics. She helped us develop a phased renovation plan according to our preferences. Sandy had helped us with the deign of our home at multiple stages, and we’ve been so happy. She helped us choose flooring and hire reliable flooring installers. She also helped choose the paint for our home and had some inspired ideas for including beautiful colors! She’s also given us advice for blinds and furniture and her advice is always spot on. I hired Sandy to guide me through a complete renovation of the master bathroom. We established a great working relationship from the very beginning. She provided me with valuable suggestions on every detail including bathroom layout, materials, color scheme, fixtures, lights, and mirrors but always included me in the decision making process so the end result reflected my taste. She works with an excellent construction contractor so there were really no problems of significance. My home needed a complete reno, and Sandy was certainly up to the challenge. Sandy used paint colors to define each room, and the result was both attractive and professional. Her vision of a yellow hallway, leading on to a blue living area was such a modern yet timeless look. Now, onto our next project/adventure.

I am not surprised that Sandy Schargel snagged the Albuquerque Journal Reader’s Choice Award for Interior Design! We met Sandy two years ago when my husband and I left our lifetime home in the SF Bay Area and made an adventurous move to Albuquerque. Sandy’s challenge with our project presented with rows of lined up furniture, rugs, artwork and accessories that she had to put together (like puzzle pieces) and which would mold our home into a southwestern pueblo as easily as it did for our California ranch-style. Conscientious and listens to your concerns and needs. Caring. Professional and experienced. Unfortunately, although she picked some of and not necessarily all of the best people to complete the work (sewing, upholstery, etc.), those people often disappointed me but not Sandy.

I have had the privilege of working with Sandy for many years on various home and office projects.
